SCENE I (Three demons dressed in black talking in the street)
NARRATOR: Once, two demons, Scorched and Scorched. They were the ugliest and most despicable of all Satan’s creatures. His desires, according to his sinful nature, were to always do evil things, such as destroying an entire city, making Christian leaders fall into sin. They were dejected because they had not been successful in their mission to do much harm to the world. Suddenly their beloved greatest demon, Satan, arrived.
DEVIL: Why are you crying?
SINGED: It’s just that we have less power than other demons and we don’t get recognition for doing really horrible things.
DEVIL: Ignorant! Idiots! You have the same powers as everyone else. Jesus Christ defeated us on the cross, but most Christians don’t know that. So there is only one way available to us.
CHAMUSCADINHO: What is this power?
DEVIL: Deception, lies, and deceit.
CHAMUSCADINHO: Is this the only way we will have power?
DEVIL: It’s the only way, but it’s very effective. When someone believes a lie, they will act on that lie. So there are no limits to what we can do with lies.
It can make a believer believe that he is not saved, that he has no power over sin, doubt whether he will really go to heaven, that he has no reason to live as a Christian… It is our lies that lead them to suicide, violence, robberies and much more. You just need to learn to use these weapons, lies and deceit. I’m already going, I have an important job; Convince politicians to legalize abortion. Goodbye!
CHAMUSCADO: Well, let’s see if it works to follow the Devil’s guidance.

SCENE II
(Carlos is at home studying the Bible)
NARRATOR: Here’s Carlos, he’s studying the Bible

CARLOS: (lendo a Bíblia) “Maria, sua mãe, estava prometida em casamento a José, mas, antes que se unissem, achou-se grávida pelo Espírito Santo.”
CHAMUSCADINHO: E você acredita em tudo isso somente porque apareceu um anjo? Vou ter que te dar uma lição de biologia grátis.
CHAMUSCADO: Você nem é cristão. Como sabe que Cristo está na tua vida? Não sente hoje nada de diferente de ontem, a menos que hoje sintas dor de cabeça.
(Batem na porta)
CARLOS: Yasmim
YASMIM: (Garota bonita, bem maquiada) Carlos, como está? Estava lendo a Bíblia? Alguém morreu?
CARLOS: Não, não. Nada disso. Olha Yasmim, tenho que falar contigo. Acho que devemos terminar nosso relacionamento. Já não temos mais nada em comum.
CHAMUSCADO: Carlos, esse cara que disse que tinha que terminar com a Yasmim é um doido. Ela é tão bonita. Se deixar pra Deus escolher uma noiva, ela vai ser muito feia. Não te lembra da gordinha que estava no último banco ontem de noite?
YASMIM: Amorzinho, fecha a Bíblia para poder pensar melhor, o que está me dizendo não tem sentido. Olha, tenho convite para a festa de sábado. Só tenho estes dois e estão muito caros. O tema da festa é praia, vão servir coquetéis com mariscos. Devemos ir vestidos na moda praia. Vai ser muito bom. Já comprei um biquíni novo, quando me ver nele vai me achar linda.
CARLOS: Pois é, não posso ir. Já tenho um compromisso.
CHAMUSCADINHO: Carlos! Que que é isso? É cego, tonto, burro?
CHAMUSCADO: Chora Yasmim! O Carlos é rico e tu merece um namorado como ele. Diz pra ele que se não ficar contigo nunca mais vai poder te ver.
YASMIM: (chorando) Carlos, por favor não faça isso comigo. Se não for comigo nessa festa a nossa história não vai ter mais volta, vou acabar indo com o Jorge, e posso até começar a namorar com ele.
CHAMUSCADO: Carlos, aceita ir com ela no sábado. Pode ser a última oportunidade com uma gata linda como ela. Depois, se quiser ser monge na tua igreja, vá em frente.
CENA III
(casa de Carlos)
NARRADOR. Chamuscado e Chamuscadinho ficaram na volta de Carlos a semana toda atormentando. Chegou o sábado, ele colocou sua roupa para ir a festa(moda praia). Carlos havia esquecido totalmente que Daniel tinha combinado de ir na sua casa antes da reunião de jovens para um estudo Bíblico.
CHAMUSCADO: Carlos, veja! O Daniel está na porta, te esconde.
(Entra Daniel com a sua Bíblia)
CARLOS: Pois, Daniel, eu…
DANIEL: Oi Carlos, tudo isso é calor? Ou foi nadar?
CARLOS: Você acredita que nadar é um pecado?
DANIEL: Claro que não. Somente não é muito comum ir pra reunião com roupas de ir à praia. Mas aceitamos as pessoas como são.
CHAMUSCADO: Daniel, você está se metendo na vida particular do Carlos. Percebe como ele esta agindo estranho. Ele não queria te ver, por isso não está arrumado. Se os pais dele te verem aqui com esta Bíblia vão te botar pra correr. É melhor que vá só.
DANIEL: (speaking in a low voice) For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, of love and of balance. 2 Timothy 1:7 Preach the word, be prepared in season and out of season… 2 Timothy 4:2
SINGED: Help me! He has an answer for everything I say.
(Yasmin enters wrapped in a towel)
YASMIM: I ran away from my grandmother’s house as I had planned, but I came early because they are going to give a prize to the couple who dances the best, and I want to rehearse with you so that we can win.
CARLOS: I know the party is about beachwear, but walking down the street in a bikini and wrapped in a towel is ridiculous, and if my mother comes and finds you like that…

CHAMUSCADINHO: (to Yasmim) He’s crazy! Plus he won’t like your bikini. Be careful with Daniel.
YASMIM: I’m going, come with me Carlos or I’ll never go out with you again. And I’m going to stay with Jorge.
DANIEL: The Bible says; “Do not love the world, nor what is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” 1 John 2:15
CARLOS: Bye Yasmim.
SINGED: Carlos, don’t miss your last opportunity.
DANIEL: The Bible says; The world and its greed pass away, but whoever does God’s will remains forever.
YASMIM: (tearful) Bye? I don’t believe.
CARLOS: Bye Yasmim
SCENE IV
(The demons Chamuscado and Chamuscadinho are in the street crying)
DEVIL: What’s the problem now?
SINGED: Indeed, the Word of God tore our lies to pieces.
If Carlos begins to believe in the Word of God like Daniel, there will be no possibility of leading him astray.
